As the claws raked the lioness' side she roared in pain. Her paws forced her to stay up and she felt sick, but she persevered. Her large teeth snapped at the wolf's head, missing by inches, but her claws touched Kila's shoulders and knocked her over. Mikaila placed her paw over the wolf's neck. Hissing, she bared her teeth and showed them to Kila.

Peter turned to Orieus. "I think that one is on our side! Rally the others, we'll charge them and rescue them!"
His unicorn steed was brought, and with Orieus at his side, Peter led the charge as the gates opened.

Mikaila saw the High King and was relieved. She could not keep her stamina up with a wounded side, but she leapt off and bared her teeth again. "Do you like them, wolf?" she taunted. "Or would you rather face the High King and his army?"

Oskan snarled at the lioness and stared up at King Peter with dismay. Take me now my King... He pleaded. Get me away...I am no coward. I just wish to be able to fight on the right side...

Peter lifted his sword to slash at the first wolf he met in battle as the centaurs and fauns thundered around him, but saw the pleading look in the wolf's eyes. For a moment he thought he saw a great golden face in the wolf's gaze, and turned the blade aside. "Go into the gates, wolf, give them this so that they will know I have sent you!" He tossed down one of his gauntlets, and then turned to meet the onslaught of wolves.

Kila yelped as she was knocked down by the lioness. Regaining her composure, the she-wolf snarled as Mikalia pressed her paw to Kila's neck. The lioness's fangs were sharp, but Kila did not flinch; she had seen many just as dangerous belonging to wolves. When Mikalia jumped off of her, Kila was indeed surprised, but when she heard the shouts of a human she knew why. "Not particularly." Was her impish answer. "But if all Narnians are as pathetic as you are, I should fancy facing your 'High King'," she grinned, but kept her concentration, ready for anything this lion might try. "A few wolves to much for the Narnians to defeat without their king, hmm?" she chuckled, just loud enough for Mikalia to hear.

"Grr! Do not insult The King in this sacred place! And if you think that we are weak then you are foolish." she roared for all to hear. Mikaila jumped back on the she-wolf and bit her foreleg. A loud snap broke threw the castle as the bone was broken in half. ((I hope this tiny bit of godmodding is ok!)) "But if you think we are weaker then that should even it out," Mikaila hissed and gashed the wolf's uninjured shoulder.

Oskan looked down at the gauntlet and looked back up at King Peter, hope and gratitude shining in his hansome silver eyes. "I thank you my King..." He whispered for only Peter to hear. He tookt he object and launched himself away, hoping no one would see or give chase. Oskan barreled into the gates and looked around, searching.
((where does oskan have to go?))

((I think he should go to show Kila or Maugrim the gauntlet (before Kila gets killed by me!) Tell them to lay off and leave before we crush their miniature "army." King Peter just sent half of the good of Narnia against, what, twenty wolves?))

(( Killed? By you? Pah. The godmodding was fine by the way. ))
Kila struggled to get her leg out of Mikalia's mouth, but she wasn't quick enough, and the snap shot pain up her leg and all over her body. The seething with anger, the she-wolf snarled, "That it should. But why not finish me off while I'm down? It would prove typical of a Narnian." She managed to dodge the lioness's next swipe, but only by a hair. Looking down at her paw, Kila growled at the way it hung limp. But no tears made it it her eyes. Kila had learned long ago that crying did nothing. With a quick jump, Kila was at Mikalia's side, biting at her neck.
(( 'Tis a good idea, however much I detest agreeing with a Narnian... ))

Mikaila countered by snapping at the wolfess' ((is that a word?)) neck also. The resulting tustle did little damage to the wolf because of her fur. The lion, however, suffered large, bleeding gashes on her chest and neck. She bellowed ((such an un-lionly word- hey another fake word I made up! Whoo! I'm on fire!)) and ripped the wolf off. "High King, this would be an excellent time!"

((Take the gauntlet to the defenders and tell them to prepare a volley of arrows.))
High King Peter saw the lead wolf, a female with dark eyes, and swung his steed about to charge at her. The line of centaurs and fauns were decimating the group of wolves. Orieus, his twin swords in hand, charged at another wolf, his hooves flashing out as he struck. Peter swung his blade low to attack the lead wolf, hoping to drive them into a retreat.
((Please note that your group of wolves will be quickly destroyed by a large group of Narnian defenders, fierce fighters though they may be. A retreat would be wise for now.))

(( *looks around* Me? Well Maugrim hasn't posted since the begnning, so yes, I suppose you do mean me... ))
Kila hit the ground with a grunt, lifting herself to her paws slowly, her strength ebbing. When she looked up, the she-wolf was surprised to see the Narnian King and not the lioness. For a moment Kila wouldn't move, wanting to fight back. But a second later she dodged out of the way, the High King's sword just barely missing her. With a quick look around, Kila saw how many wolves they had lost, and growled. Did she have to do everything herself? With a short howl of retreat, Kila turned around to the lioness. "We will meet agian, lion. And when we do, it shall be the minions of the White Witch who have the upper hand." Being sure to keep off of her paw, Kila howled agian, watching most of the wolves look up and retreat. So much for being back up...

Oskan pelted over to the defences and dropped the object at a young fawn archer's feet. "Long live Aslan and King Peter! He needs you at this time!" The black young sire wolf howled at the top of his lungs.

And we shall, wolf. And we shall. Mikaila watched as King Peter drove the remaining wolves off. "Thank you, King." She said to him. "We would not have won without your army. The wolf spy, Oskan... he is warning the archers to shoot down any wolves that are lagging. Am I correct?" Her side and chest burned and it pained her to stay standing, but she did in the King's presence. Blood dripped to the ground.
