Edmund hugged his sister back. "Sorry Lu, I was out practicing riding with Phillip and Oreius. I'm just in time for dinner though." He grinned and took a seat beside his sister. Then he frowned. "Susan isn't here yet?"
Fundin gave another graceful bow. "Good day Lady Lucy. I see dinner is starting. I've been snacking all day... But I'll stay and talk."

((Oh dear...forgive my delay...)) (((In a rush...in a rush...in a rush.......)))
The faun gave a bow to his superiors, and good friends. "Ah! It is most delightful to see you all again, your Highnesses."

Peter ruffled Edmund's hair goodnaturedly. "We were beginning to wonder if you were coming at all. The mention of food usually brings you running!"
He nodded to the mighty Gryphon. "And good day to you, Sir Fundin. How is the flying today?"
Peter greeted Tumnus with a sudden hug, ambracing their dear friend. "Welcome Tumnus! It is wonderful to see you again!"
((Lu, I believe it is winter))

Lucy waited for her brother to sit down again then jumped up and hugged Mister Tumnus. "You made it Mister Tumnus!" She said, her british accent sticking out when she said his name. "It's been a while since tea hasn't it." Sitting down she turned to Fundin. "I hope you didn't ruin your appetite sir." She said with a smile, winking at the gryphon.

"Good day, Sir Gryphin! And Mister Tumnus, a Merry Christmas to you both. And to you Mr Fox, and Wolf Naia. Blessed greetings upon you all!" Father Christmas smiled and lifted his glass into the air, "To all of you, in this most blessed Season!" He was about to stop, when Edmund entered, "And to Edmund, for his ususal promptness at meals!"
He took a long drink, and started to eat. His appetite could rival a centaur's. As King Peter mentioned Beruna, the smiled faded from Father Christmas' face. "She still lives, Your Highness. Mr Fox, can it not wait until after Dinner? I must also speak with King Peter."

Peter turned and saw the look in the fox's eyes. He held up a hand to Father Christmas. "Just one moment. We still have yet to bring in the food. Go ahead without me, I won't be long. Mr. Fox, if you would like to accompany me?"
The young man smiled to the others and then walked away to the balcony, overlooking the seashore far below.
"What is it that concerns you, Mr. Fox?"

Edmund smiled to Father Christmas as he heard his name. "Good afternoon sir. I'm never late for a meal." He said, winking. Then his face quickly darkened at his quiet mention to his older brother. As Peter and Mr. Fox left the room, Edmund quickly took Peter's place.
"Did you say that she is back.... Father? Surely you couldn't mean... you know..." He whispered in a hushed tone.

Lucy watched her brother leave with Mister Fox then slid quietly away from the table and out into the hall. Walking down one she entered a room, which was no more then a study and finding a scroll she took it out and looked at it. This scroll in particular told about the most recent events in Narnia, the tale fo the children and the Queen. When the father spoke of 'she' in a quiet voice she knew something was amiss.
She didn't get to know what happened after the battle and she looked near the bottom of the last scroll of the series. Then she read the last part about the queen running. She spoke softly to herself.
"It can't be. We just got peace in Narnia...' Rolling the scroll up she put it away and started back for the hall.

Peter nodded. "Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will inform Oreius and Fundin to keep a wary eye out, and to send out patrols. I won't have that wolf wreaking havoc anymore."
They returned to the dining table just as Arnel rushed in. He nodded in greeting to the man, but frowned as he immediatly started eating. "Arnel, usually it is common courtesy to wait for all to be seated to begin."

Lucy slipped back into the table, only one knew person was there. She smiled at her brother. "Who is missing, Peter?" She tapped her fingers on the table absentmindly. "The food is looking lovely though." She said, resisting the urge to start eating also.
